Who handles your information

The business in charge of the personal information described here is Cheapfareflight, which runs Cheap Fare Flight. Send any question about this policy to contact@cheapfareflight.us.

The information we collect

Only what a booking or a request about one actually needs:

• Who is flying: each traveler's full name as it appears on their ID, date of birth, gender where an airline or the Transportation Security Administration's Secure Flight program asks for it, a Known Traveler or Redress Number if you supply one, and passport details for trips abroad.
• How to reach you: email, phone number and, if a document has to be mailed, a postal address.
• The trip itself: routes, dates, confirmation codes, seat and meal requests, and the messages we exchange.
• Help at the airport: mobility or medical needs, collected only if you tell us so we can pass a request to the airline.
• Payments: how much was paid, when, and whether it went through. Card numbers are typed into a third-party payment provider's secure page and never reach our records.
• Site usage: browser and device type, IP address and the pages you open, covered in more detail in our Cookie Policy.

How we use it

Your information is used to:

• price, book, change or cancel the trips you ask about;
• give airlines and suppliers what they need to issue tickets and serve you, including data airlines are required to send to government agencies;
• keep you posted on your request, confirmations and any schedule change;
• collect payments and return refunds;
• keep the tax, accounting and legal records the law requires; and
• keep this site running safely.

Marketing email goes out only to people who asked for it. Each one names us and carries a working unsubscribe link, as the CAN-SPAM Act requires. Unsubscribing will not stop the messages you need about an active booking.

Who receives it

Information leaves us only when your trip requires it:

• Airlines, to ticket and manage your flights.
• Reservation systems and suppliers we use to find, hold and ticket seats, which may process booking data only as we direct.
• Payment providers, to run charges and refunds.
• Technology vendors that host our site, email and files under confidentiality terms.
• Government agencies, when a law requires disclosure.

We do not sell your personal information. Optional analytics and advertising tools switch on only if you consent; see our Cookie Policy. After an airline or supplier receives your details, its own privacy policy governs what it does with them.

Trips abroad

On international trips, airlines forward passenger data to border and security authorities along your route. Some of our vendors may keep data in another state or outside the United States. In each case we pass on only what your booking requires and what the law permits.

How long we keep it

Booking, payment and inquiry records stay with us while your trip is active, while any refund or complaint is open, and for as long as tax, accounting and legal rules require. Then they are deleted or de-identified.

Keeping it safe

Only staff who work on your booking can open it, and the site runs over encrypted connections. Do not send card numbers or passwords by email, text, chat or phone; our agents never ask for them that way. If you suspect your booking details have leaked, email contact@cheapfareflight.us right away.

Your privacy rights

Depending on your state of residence, including under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and share it, to get a copy of it, to have it corrected or deleted, and to opt out of its sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. Using these rights will never change the service or price you get from us.

Children

This site is not aimed at children under 13, and in line with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from them. A parent or guardian supplies a child's details when the child is on a booking. If you think a child has sent us information on their own, email contact@cheapfareflight.us and we will delete it.

Updates to this policy

When our practices change, this policy changes with them. Check the date at the top of the page for the version you are reading.
